LAMBETH'S SUMMER HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES & FOOD 2025

Book now for Lambeth Council’s Summer Holiday Activities and Food Programme. It offers local families, whose children attend a Lambeth school and receive benefits-related free school meals, access to free, healthy food and fun activities over the summer holidays. The programme runs from 28 July to 29 August.

This year, parents must book online, and they can book up to 16 sessions per eligible child.

Morley College is offering a free gardening and cooking workshop. Join their amazing tutor Marco for a hands-on session that’s as fun as it is delicious!

In the first half, you’ll head out to the garden with Marco to learn some essential gardening tips while picking fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Then, it’s time to turn your harvest into a simple, hearty dish that’s full of flavour. It’s the perfect blend of fresh air, learning, and good food!

We enjoyed meeting up with Helping Hands Collective who run a food pantry every Monday 12-2pm (not bank holidays) at the Harry Caddick Community Centre, 63 Ilford Road, SE5 9HN. They offer a low-cost shop when you spend £5 or £2.50 for fruit, vegetables, and store cupboard items. Plus, workshops and a warm space for the community.
